The Lookout gives you a heads-up on the best events taking place around town. Tonight, shopping and socializing on U Street.

Don't let predicted evening spring showers keep you from good shopping deals. The third Thursday of every month, the MidCityLive! organization puts on a Thursday Shopper Social in the U Street retail area around U and 14th Sts NW. Boutiques and other stores offer up discounts, socializing, snacks and drinks from 5-8 pm. So get on over to U Street and shop away. Want to grab a bite to eat afterwards?
