Shop to support a cause while enjoying complimentary Asian beer and light fare at Circle Boutique (1736 14th Street, NW; 202-518-2212) this Thursday from 4 to 7 PM. The modern boutique, featuring local and international designers, will host a happy hour to support DC Asian Pacific American Film, a nonprofit organization that focuses on documentaries and emerging student filmmakers and presents the DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival in the fall. In addition to donating 15 percent of the evening’s proceeds to DC APA, the store will be kicking off its semiannual sale, with markdowns of up to 65 percent.
If you can’t make it Thursday, Circle Boutique will also be participating in the Dog Days of August Sidewalk Sale and Festival in the U Street corridor this Saturday and Sunday. And don’t forget—August 4 through 12 is DC’s Sales Tax Holiday, a week of tax-free shopping for items costing $100 or less. Need any more reasons to shop?
