Monday: Riddle Me This
Try out one of the best trivia nights in town this evening at Wonderland Ballroom in Columbia Heights. Prizes include $100, $20, and $10 bar-tab discounts. No more than five members per team. Think about old, great hotel bars—sleek, wood-paneled affairs where people sipped on classic drinks like Side Cars and Manhattans. Get a taste of that feeling tonight at the “Great Hotel Bars Event,” where DC bartender Derek Brown and Phil Greene (a co-founder of The Museum of the American Cocktail) chat and make drinks from historic hotel bars. 6 PM, $45.

Thursday: Free Music!
We’re not quite sure exactly why Justin Jones is playing a free show tonight at the Rock and Roll Hotel, but when you have a great local act (harmonica-tinged country rock) playing for, oh, zero dollars, you have no excuse not to head out. 9 PM.
