811 8th Street NE is a Bed and Breakfast with (7) recently renovated, furnished, keyed entry rooms available for Inauguration Weekend January 16-22. Come early or stay late. Arrangement can be made. Each room is 150 sq ft and carpeted. You will have access to two bathrooms two storage rooms. Each room comes with a television. Some rooms have HDTV’s. You have access to a state of the art kitchen ( a continental breakfast will be served every morning from 8-11am). You will be able to wash and dry your clothes in the laundry room. You will be able to park in the (4) available parking spaces in the rear of the property. We know and understand that visitors to the city will be marks for petty criminals so we have gone the extra mile to ensure the safety of your family and belongings. The onsite security guard will man the front room 24hrs a day and make hourly patrols. The front door will be remain locked at all times but you can be buzzed in. However, you will have a key to your individual room(everytime a tenent moves out the locks will be changed). There will be a sign in sheet for all visitors.The property manager will be very accessible if you have any problems. There are two banks on the corner of 8th and H therefore a police car is parked in the lot in front of 811 8th street NE at all times before 5 pm. After 5pm the police make frequent patrols. Ideal accommodations for two to five people. Two bedroom one bath lower level of house for the inauguration week. January 16-21. Two bedroom, plus sitting room sleeps four or five. One bedroom with a single bed, one bedroom with a double bed and sitting area with a queen sized pull-out. Separate entrance Cable TV and internet. My home is near Old Town Alexandria. Has a large walk-in closet (which will be empty for your clothes), as well as a luxury full-size kitchen with electric stove, large fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit. Bathroom is big, and has a tub/shower, and a large mirror. Balcony is furnished with two chairs and a table. There is central heating/air conditioning in the apartment.

Sleeps 2 in the bedroom, and the couch comfortably sleeps one. If you would like to bring an air mattress, a queen size air mattress will fit in the living room.

Apartment has cable tv with HBO and high-speed wireless internet throughout.

Apartment complex has a luxury roof-top deck with brand new grills (perfect for the inauguration fireworks display), fitness center and business center with computers/printer/fax. The apartment community also serves continental breakfast Mon-Fri until 9am.

Anyone know of some share house websites or homestay sites. I’m from Australia and while these prices are pretty good in USD, it’s almost double for the Australian Dollar. Which itsn’t too great for a student on a sumwhat limited budget.

Come stay at my home which has 3 bedroom, 2 full baths and a half (with Jacuzzi size tub). Of course you’ll have full access to the house which includes the dining room, kitchen (which I will stock with your favorite beverages and snacks as a courtesy), den with huge television with dvr, and living room with just basic cable and washer & dryer. My family will not share the home with the chosen renters but we will be close enough to check in if needed. The master bedroom includes a queen size bed, huge walk-in closet. The second bedroom has nothing in it but a full size inflatable bed can be purchased if needed (as a courtesy). Third bedroom is currently the computer room but has enough room for a full size bed. Where is the home located?
My house is located in Laurel, MD conveniently off of 295! You will stay in a wonderful, safe, family, suburb area. You will have access to two of the best metropolitan areas, Washington, DC and Baltimore, which are both a 30 minutes car drive.

What about transportation?
-DC is about a 30 minutes car drive. However, I do not recommend that you drive to DC because of numerous road blocks
-5 minutes from Interstate 95/495 and Baltimore Washington Parkway (Route 295)
-5 minutes walk to the Metro bus stop, which will take you to the Greenbelt Metro subway station
-20 minutes from BWI Airport
-You can also call various cabs

What local attractions are nearby?
Anne Arundel Mills Mall, Columbia Mall, Annapolis Mall, Downtown DC, Baltimore and Silver Spring, National Harbor/Gaylord Resort & Convention Center,

What is my rate?
I am charging a slightly lower rate compared to others in the area. The rate is $4,500 from Saturday, January 16 to Wednesday, January 21. I am open to negotiating dates. A non-refundable deposit in the amount of $2,000 to secure your space is required by December 15, 2008! A second payment in the amount of $2,500 would be due by January 7, 2009. Incidental $500 deposit is fully refundable as long as the rental property is without any damage or missing items. The only methods of payments are a certified or cashier’s check. All payments are non-refundable excluding the incidental fee. A photo copy of each occupant’s driver’s license/identification card/passport is required. A signed contract is required as well.

Stay on Capitol Hill and avoid the packed metros and impossible driving by renting our lovely home, just 9 blocks from the Inauguration (http://snurl.com/73o1n)! You can literally see the Capitol Dome from our back gate. This house has 2 bedrooms (one with a very good quality, queen-size American Leather fold-out couch -- we got it for our parents to sleep on, and we like our parents), and the other bedroom with a queen-size sleigh bed with new mattress. We could also put a queen-size inflatable bed downstairs, to house a total of 6 people.

Those prices are ridiculous; try this on for size.

We have room for one or a couple in Baltimore for just a fraction of what others are offering. Ideally, we want to help out a student.

What used to be our son’s basement apartment is not exactly the lap of luxury but does have the following: privacy, a comfortable bed, private bath and some furniture (and a decent heater). If you’re interested, email us at Midwood57@aol.com with a description of YOU and any questions you have.

My wife and I have a lovely 15 year old townhouse in Silver Spring (Woodside), MD. We both use the two car garage but there is parking for two cars in our driveway. We use the master bedroom with our own large bathtub and shower but we also have a separate room with a double bed and another room with three single beds and a bunk bed which could sleep 5. These two rooms are connected to a hallway to a separate full bath with a bathtub/shower. We are willing to rent these two rooms which sleeps 7 but we are looking for a single family of two adults and not more than 3 children. (As a second choice, we may consider some mix of men and women but not more than 5 adults.) We are about 8 blocks away from the subway. We are asking $1,200 a night per night for the period of time you may want to book these rooms for the inaugural. You will have the run of the house which means the kitchen and living room with a baby grand piano as well as the basement with a 35” television with cable. When we are not using our bedroom, we also have a loft where you can use one computer hooked up to the internet a palates machine, a rowing machine, a stair master and a treadmill as well as a television for exercise. We require a $6,000 non refundable deposit to book these rooms. First come first served. It is brilliantly designed for entertaining lavishly, with wonderful "flow" from the superb Georgian living room - with its scallop-shell book-cases like the ones in the Oval Office - through the library and into the dining room, with a table that easily seats 14.

The brand-new kitchen has state-of-the-art appliances and is equipped for feeding large numbers of people, with double-ovens, two dishwashers, two sinks with disposals, and much, much more. Between the kitchen and the dining room there is a bar/pantry, with an wine cooler that holds 48 bottles.

This is an online service--free to use-- that matches people seeking cheap, clean short-term housing with individuals that have properties to offer on a short-term basis. It’s certainly a better option than trying to get a $700 per night room at The Red Roof Inn.

I have 2 beautifully appointed houses as well as 5 new apartments on grounds that have a total of 20 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. Perfect for a large contingent that would like to be together. Charter a bus and arrive 1 hour from all of the festivities. Spend the weekend.

I have a very large home available for rent during the inauguration. I am hoping to get in rented to a large responsible family or group. Maybe a group of supporters can all put for this. I have been listed on craigslist for about a week. I have 6 + bedrooms, a 15 min drive to DC or drive 5 minsutes to the subway.
