Friday, November 27 Departments stores aren’t the only ones doling out deals on Black Friday. The Washington Humane Society will give a 50-percent discount on all adoptable pets that are applied for on Friday at two shelters (1201 New York Ave., NE, and 7319 Georgia Ave., NW). The event runs from noon to 8 at the New York Avenue shelter and noon to 7 at the Georgia Avenue shelter.
Saturday, November 28 The Washington Animal Rescue League will set up shop at Whole Foods in Tenleytown (4530 40th St., NW) for a dog-adoption event. 11 to 2
Sunday, November 29 Lucky Dog Animal Rescue will host a dog-adoption event at Petco in Columbia (6181 Old Dobbin Ln.) from noon to 2.
Cat people can find pets at Chateaux Animaux (524 Eighth St., SE) when Capital Cats hosts a feline-adoption event from noon to 3. More>> Open House Blog | Homes | Real Estate
