An Occassional Series Highlighting New Condo Developments
By Lauren Masterson What: The Warehouses at Union Row
Where: 14th and V Streets, NW
Expected Delivery: Fall 2007
Number of Units: 59
Price Range: High 400's to mid 800's.
Floorplans: All units have two bedrooms but range in size from one to two-and-a-half stories. Luxurious Touches: Hardwood flooring, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and track lighting. The two-and-a-half level units boast 10 to 13 foot ceilings, terraces, and a third-floor loft with a balcony.
Building Amenities: The units surround a courtyard with benches, fountains, and walkways. There is parking for most units, front desk service, and a first floor residents’ lounge with a flat screen TV and kitchen for parties.
Coolest Feature: The blending of old and new. The warehouses' original brick facade has remained intact, while the interiors and upper floors are comprised of new, modern—and eco-friendly—materials. Potential Drawback: The courtyard is open to the public, which could mean lots of noise and little privacy. Closest Metro Stop: U Street/Cardoza, about 2 blocks
Ratings:
Metro Accessibility: 5 (out of 5) Swankiness: 3.5 (out of 5) Cool Neighborhood Factor: 4 (out of 5) Overall Exclusivity:3.5 (out of 5) Total Score: 16 (out of 20)

My friend lives in a Hoffman condo and she LOVES it. I’m in the market to upgrade to a larger place and have checked out this building’s floor plans online and the ones with the multiple levels look really cool and unique to what I have seen around DC.
