guess no one noticed that Mt Pleasant St, the main business area of the neighborhood, is only one block from the Columbia Heights metro station... so Takoma Park doesn't "beat" Mt P at all. besides, with at least 6 major bus routes running through the 'hood, one doesn't necessarily need to rely on metro trains. I heart Mt P.

My son's house is on the left of the Victorian on the front cover of the April issue. It is really great to realize you magazine is actually going into the neighborhoods of D.C. I am a 4th generation Washingtonian..Born and raised in ANACOSTIA. That neighborhood was a wonderful Mayberry when I grew up.
