Splurge vs. Steal: Grills
By
Elizabeth Farrell
Whether you’re a master of backyard barbecue or just looking for ways to cook up a good burger, a grill may be just what you need to spruce up your spring.
Steal: Called the Perfect Flame, this gas grill has lots of cooking space and five stainless steel burners. It’s $499 at Lowes (locations in Maryland, DC, and Virginia).
Splurge: Want a grill with serious frills? The Viking 41-inch Ultra-Premium T-Series grill is loaded with features like a stainless steel warming rack, an electronic ignition, and a removable smoker box. This grill may carry a hefty price tag ($6,894), but it’s designed to create a topnotch grilling experience. Available at Smith & Hawken in Georgetown (1209 31st Street, NW; 202-965-5960).
