Estate of the Week

Every Wednesday, we offer a peek inside the world of luxury real estate in Washington.
Where: 1322 Balls Hill Road, McLean Listing Price: $17,500,000 Time on the Market: Two months Bedrooms: Eight Bathrooms: 11
Completed earlier this year, this sprawling Fairfax mansion was built to resemble a 15th century French chateau. The most breathtaking feature is the gold-leaf coffered dome in the main entryway. There are two dining rooms—one for formal dinners and one for everyday use—and a large ballroom with a domed ceiling. The library is mahogany paneled and includes built-ins and a gas fireplace. Other amenities include his-and-hers stand-up showers in the master bath, a fitness center, a five-car garage, a wine cellar, and staff quarters. Have a tip about a luxury property on the market?
