Colts' Manning a Fan of Bush
By

Published Wednesday, April 25, 2007
At Monday's White House celebration of the Indianapolis Colts’ NFL title, President Bush and Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning looked like the best of friends—with good reason. Federal Election Commission records show that Manning gave $2,000, the maximum allowed donation, to Bush’s re-election campaign in 2004. The former University of Tennessee star also gave $4,200 to Bob Corker to help him win his Senate seat from the Volunteer State in November.

That's not surprising...I guess Peyton is as dumb as he looks.
Posted by: Eli M.,
big deal. Bush, Gore, Clinton, Dole, Edwards, Kennedy, Kerry, Rove, Dean, they all make the bile rise to the back of my throat.
Posted by: exwiscosteel,
This just reaffirms my belief that football damages the brain more than most experts are letting on.
Posted by: Dan,
I knew I liked Peyton for a reason.
Posted by: Jake,
I really dont care what his politics are I still think he is a great QB. There are alot of idiots who voted for Bush in '04. The Coker thing bothers me a bit b/c of the race bating ads he ran against Ford Jr.
Posted by: Mike,
This makes me sad. Growing up in Tennessee, Peyton is like my brother from another mother. All the same, it IS only football...if there is any such thing as ONLY FOOTBALL DOWN HERE!!!
