Why wasnt these events advertised? If I knew about these parties much sooner I would have attended. I live in the Washington Metropolitan area and didn’t know about these events. Yes I should have done research but the committee who put these events should have advertised it better.

Anyone in DC for the inauguration might be interested in this guide: "Where to Pee in DC: An Insider’s Guide for the Inauguration" Sounds goofy, but with the shortage of available bathrooms around the Mall, this downloadable guide might be the best money spent on the inauguration. It highlights a bunch of lesser known bathrooms, plus it gives good tips and tactics for accessing them. It’s on ebay for $3.75 (item # 120351046988).

Hello, We have a teriffic band that’s available for corporate parties and we need to distribute our web site to everyone who needs entertain.
Here’s some information.
Gholstons Greatest Musicians featuring The Great Expectations Band was created 10 years ago by the lead male vocalist, Lolan Gholston, and his wife, Velma, in Burke, Virginia.
The Great Expectations Band is a 10 piece variety band that plays music from Frank Sinatra to Beyonce and has been performing music around the greater Washington, D.C. area for the last 10 years. They are a high energy, electrifying, courteous, prompt band and are comprised of a consortium of professional musicians who have performed all over the world. They perform at such functions as Wedding Receptions and Corporate Parties, and at various parties for George Washington University, in Washington, D.C. and have on numerous occasions in the Center Court at the Pentagon. They also perform at numerous Country Clubs including Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.
Usually the band performs for four hours and during the first hour while the guests enjoy their dinner and conversation we normally play quiet classical dinner music. After dinner is completed, we slowly move into the dance music which includes such songs as “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra and then work their way into the Motown/Disco Era.
One of the key signatures of this band is audience participation. To set the atmosphere with a romantic touch, Lolan will go into the audience and hand out live roses to the ladies. He will occasionally have some of the audience members sing such songs as "Sweet Caroline" with him. The audience also receives a special treat from Lolan and the band when they perform “A Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong. The audience will think Louis himself has entered the room and started singing.
Once you have seen and heard The Great Expectations Band perform, you will have a different perspective of what a live band has to offer.
You can visit our website at www.gholstonsmusicians.com <http://www.gholstonsmusicians.com/> and see a video clip of the band performing live.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Does anyone know about tickets for the inauguration? Do we think that there will be people that have tickets that don’t show up to pick them up? What will happen with those? I can’t decide whether to take a risk and come to DC, hoping, wishing, dreaming...I will get in! Thoughts?

I want the latest information about Oprah’s party! I’d also like to know how to get tickets to her show - I’ve heard she’ll be filming three shows in the DC area.
