It’s been a stressful week for poor Claire McCaskill, what with all the rude, shouty people yelling at her during townhall meetings, but you’d never be able to tell from her Twitter feed—she’s watching movies, going to ballet recitals and eating peaches. In other news, we were happy that Gresham Barrett was excited to be included in the Tweet Beat, and as an extra bonus he spelled “tweet” correctly, unlike you, Zach Wamp. John McCain seems to be on vacation, Roy Blunt is having fun on the farm and Earl Blumenauer is very disappointed in Chuck Grassley.
SenJohnMcCain: drug companies cut deal with the White House - Americans lose, special interests win. So much for transparency. Sen. John McCain, AZ.

Keith Ellison’s "Pub and Butchery" in Kibera: a less than assured understanding of another language (and English can be tricky) is a perennial source of humor.
