Check out the finalists in our wide-angle-themed photo contest. Then cast a vote to choose a winner.
Published Wednesday, November 18, 2009
The votes are in, and the finalists in our wide-angle photo contest have been selected. Now we need you to choose a winner. You know the drill: Check out the finalists' gallery (click here to see it in a new window), then take the poll at the bottom of the page to vote for your favorite. The photo with the most votes at noon on Monday, November 30, will be the winner. It’ll appear in the January issue of The Washingtonian.
Remember, it’s only one vote per person, so play fair. If we notice voting irregularities for any photo, we reserve the right to disqualify it from the contest.
Good luck to this month’s finalists, and happy voting, readers! >> Click here to see the finalists
Looking for next month’s theme? Check back on December 1 for details on how to enter.
*To help keep this contest fair, we've elected to use an IP address-based poll. This means that if you are voting from an office or network setting, not everybody will be able to vote. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we hope you'll encourage coworkers to vote from their home computers. More>> Capital Comment Blog | News & Politics | Party Photos

Thanks for the nomination but I must say that I deserve to be 5th place in the voting as there are some amazing shots this month. Not usually a fan of HDR (especially when it is overprocessed like alot of the crap out there) but the shot of the city is A-MAZ-ING. Love Hallowed Grounds and all of the others. Great work again!

Gives a new meaning to "hallowed grounds." Robert’s picture really captures the feeling of the early morning visitor to the Jefferson Memorial.

Robert’s photo captures the very best of our nations capital. This is a very interesting perspective of the Jefferson Memorial, the tall pillars of strength, the timeless marble walls, and the subtle curve of the monument overlooking our great nation. Our current recession and war-torn nation will be just fine; if we go back to our founding principles and get a new perspection on what this great country can be again. Really nice photo Robert -- you nailed it!!

Gone are the robust bureaus for the Los Angeles Times, Newhouse News, and other once-healthy news organizations. Digital media bureaus now are taking their places with as many reporters and plenty of swagger.
