Name:Lindsay Czarniak
Age: 30
Occupation: sports anchor/reporter
Hometown: Clifton, VA
Must have item at all times: Chapstick
Signature drink: Triple skim latte
Finish the sentence: When not working, you can find me... ...traveling or enjoying the city with friends – nothing like a good concert.
Washingtonian(s) you admire? My parents, Katie Couric, Art Monk.
Favorite neighborhood in the city? Dupont or U Street area.
Washington insider tip(s)? The Java House on 17th is the place to be on weekend mornings.
Finish the sentence: Thinking about the Metro makes me… ...remember the time in high school we dared my friend Jessica to perform a song in front of the entire metro car. She did it and it was FANTASTIC!
Favorite museum: Madame Tussauds wax museum. Tiger Woods is there.
What would you change about DC? I would move it a little closer to the beach.
As you answer these questions, what websites are open in your browser? Good question, ESPN.com, google and “dariusrucker.com” (I just went to the Hootie concert.)
What’s your daily routine like? Dictated by sporting events, which can be very cool but right now, Skins park all the time.
What’s the craziest thing that’s happened to you while covering a story? I fell on my butt while attempting to “curl” at the Olympics in Torino.. not necessarily crazy but at the time, pretty embarrassing. It ended up on “the Today Show.”
Celebrity athlete crush? Come on, now… you know I can’t answer that.
What interview or story are you most proud of covering and why? There are a lot that are special to me for very different reasons. The most recent story that meant a lot was talking to Redskins tight end Chris Cooley and NASCAR driver Dale Earnhart, Jr. together about their friendship and the different nuances of their sports. They both opened my eyes to a lot of things in the midst of it. The story that was the most challenging was covering the death of Sean Taylor. Inspirational, nothing tops George Mason’s Final Four run. Read last week's Washingtonian Favorites with BrightestYoungThings editrix Svetlana Legetic here and make sure to check back in next Thursday for a brand new Washingtonian Favorites with local chef Barton Seaver. Back in June, Seaver's split with Hook caused quite the controversy, so we're sure you're dying to find out what the local chef's next move will be. I grew up watching George Michael on NBC and learned a lot about professional sports by watching his programs. For the past several years I’ve been getting my sports news mainly from ESPN and maybe just tune in into the local stations whenever trying to find coverage for local teams. One of the times I was flipping around the channels for local coverage and came across Lindsay broadcasting and had pretty much the same reaction as Eugene below. Now I always try to tune into NBC sports to try to get a glimpse of Lindsay and get some coverage of the home teams.

This is a wonderful intro about Ms. Czarniak. When I first saw her on TV, my heart stopped. She is very hot and attractive. I wish that I could have one date with her.

I don’t know much about sports, but I catch Lindsay sometimes on the 11pm news and I watch her because she looks so great. But its clear to me that she is very good at her job and is definitely passionate it. Keep up the good work Lindsay!

She gave an address to the graduating class of 2007 Centreville High School last June (her alma mater)...it was the worst speech I have ever heard. A very self absorbed, self serving individual. Exactly what one would expect from a former homecoming queen.

Lindsay’s a looker, there is no denying it. But if she didn’t have talent and a camera presence nobody would care either.

If Lindsay looked like Sandra Bernhardt, no one would give a damn.
