Cookies don’t get any better than the big, cakey creations from Leesburg baker Lorraine “Lola” Hooper. We were hooked from the first bite of her ginger-chocolate cookies, and the rest of her lineup—including rich and chewy Congo bars, chocolate-coconut macaroons, and M&M cookies—is just as wonderful. Hooper sells the treats as part of a milk-and-cookies gift set ($35.95) with an organic buttermilk-scented candle in a retro lunchbox. Lola Cookies & Treats, 109 S. King St., Leesburg; 703-669-6970; lolacookies.com.
