Daily dispatches on the Washington, DC area's food, restaurant and dining scene.
Burger Brackets: Harry's Tap Room Vs. J. Paul's
Welcome to Burger Brackets, where we ask you to vote to discover the best burger in Washington. Today's face-off is...
Who makes the best burger in Washington? We're holding a March Madness-style, bracketed face-off to find out. Check back every day at 10 AM and 2 PM for continuing burger vs. burger competitions. And don't forget to vote for your favorites!
As much as we love Sonoma, the cozy wine bar couldn't stand up to the leagues of Chadwick burger fans. So the Georgetown branch of this friendly neighborhood pub moves up and on.
Today's burger challenge? Check below.
Harry's Tap Room: The cooks at Harry's Tap Room seem aware that their flavorful hamburger is one of the stars of the menu and treat it with as much care as they do their filet mignon.
J. Paul's: The tender burger at this Georgetown spot is served with perfectly scorched grill marks across the meat.
Who makes the better burger? Vote in the poll below, then leave your thoughts in the comments. Then go and vote in the EatBar vs. Whitlows burger face-off—that's open until 10 AM tomorrow.
Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the images on this blog loading? I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

These days of austerity and relative stress and anxiety about running into debt, most people balk against the idea of using a credit card to make acquisition of merchandise as well as pay for any occasion, preferring, instead only to rely on the actual tried along with trusted way of making settlement - cash. However, if you’ve got the cash available to make the purchase 100 %, then, paradoxically, that is the best time for you to use the card for several factors.

I have noticed that of all types of insurance, medical health insurance is the most dubious because of the turmoil between the insurance plan company’s need to remain adrift and the consumer’s need to have insurance policy. Insurance companies’ revenue on health and fitness plans are low, consequently some corporations struggle to generate income. Thanks for the strategies you reveal through your blog.

Thanks for the distinct tips contributed on this site. I have observed that many insurance agencies offer consumers generous savings if they choose to insure a couple of cars with them. A significant quantity of households currently have several motor vehicles these days, specially those with elderly teenage kids still dwelling at home, as well as savings on policies can soon begin. So it pays off to look for a great deal.

Thanks for your write-up. One other thing is the fact that individual states in the United states of america have their particular laws that affect home owners, which makes it quite difficult for the our lawmakers to come up with a new set of recommendations concerning property foreclosures on people. The problem is that each state possesses own regulations which may have interaction in a damaging manner in relation to foreclosure insurance policies.

I think the tap room is hands down better than J. Paul’s....wine pairings for a burger is rare but appreciated.
