Daily dispatches on the Washington, DC area's food, restaurant and dining scene.

Burger Brackets Final! EatBar vs. BLT Steak

The Burger Brackets have reached the finals. Vote to make sure your favorite wins—the polls close at 2 PM today.

UPDATE: This poll is now closed. The winner of the Burger Brackets has been announced! You can read who it is here

Well, folks, when we started the Burger Brackets back at the beginning of March, we have to admit, we had a certain pre-conception about how things were going to go down in the burger wars. We knew we had selected 32 worthy burger spots, and that there would be some tough battles. But like most of you, we figured that it was obvious who'd make it down to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and who might even win. Ray's Hell Burger was a contender, for sure, as was Five Guys, and Palena Cafe's artful creation of a burger. Clearly, big-name burger joint that everybody expected to win, would, well, win. For all the fun this exercise in voting and brackets was, surely the outcome was a no-brainer.

But if there's one thing we've learned from the Burger Brackets (besides the fact that posting these every day for the past month may have contributed to us eating 79% more burgers for lunch than we normally would), it's that you should never underestimate the underdogs. Who knew that Elevation Burger had such devoted fans, for example, or Chadwick's? Who knew a steakhouse would make it to the top? Who'd have thunk that a little Arlington gastropub would make it all the way to the finals?

And yet, here we are. And with that, we bid adieu to the rest of the fine Burger Brackets contenders, say a prayer for our cholesterol levels, and give you the final burger face-off.

A quick note before we give you the finalists and the vote: This poll will stay open for a full week this time around. So burger fans can vote here until Friday, April 3. And another note regarding voting: If it appears that either side is employing, let's say, less-than-virtuous tactics to gain votes, then we reserve the right to disqualify that contender. Play fair, folks.

On to the Burger Brackets finalists!

BLT Steak: The juicy $16 lunchtime burger at BLT Steak is made from Black Angus beef and served on an old-school sesame bun.

EatBar: It's better known for its housemade hotdog, but the $10 burger at this Lyon Park gastropub is popular too. It's elevated by herbs and a good dose of butter, then topped with sweet pickles. There's even homemade ketchup to go with it.

Who makes the better burger? Vote in the poll below, spread the word to your friends, and leave your thoughts in the comments—and make sure to check back Friday, April 3 to see who made it to the Burger Brackets final!

Just a reminder: you can keep tabs on all the Burger Brackets and browse through past ones here.

>> Still have the voting bug? Cast a vote in our photo contest to help decide this month's winner.

My problem with this entire brackeg competition: allowing anybody to vote means the winner doesn’t necessarily have the best burger, just the most well-known or popular burger.

Some of the smaller, recently opened establishments do not yet have the customer base or heritage to compete against the more well-known restaurants. If the competition had been executed with a panel of judges who went around and tried each establishment, I think the results would have been quite different.

I ate at Eat Bar last Sat purposefully to have their burger. It was good but NO WAY the best burger in metro Washington!! Come on people. A burger should be grilled not broiled! That like using Spenda for a gourmet chocolate cake!! Should never be done!!

Posted by: CC Dean, Apr 04, 2009 08:13:11 AM

Why isnt or wasnt Washingtonian monitoring this mudslinging more? A good moderator would have taken half this drivel off the board.

Posted by: SHW, Apr 03, 2009 12:14:30 PM

Congratulations Nathan and Eatbar, I’m coming in, See you soon.

Posted by: Victor, Apr 03, 2009 11:06:55 AM

Watch out for the buttery love burger!

BLT hands down!

Posted by: handsoff, Apr 03, 2009 10:54:11 AM

Maybe BLT can open 4 local restaurants , a wine shop and coffee shop, promote the hell out of this burger thing and narrowly win. What a croc of POOP

Posted by: POOP, Apr 03, 2009 10:50:03 AM

@Voting is Wrong We set up a per-IP voting method in this vote after suspecting (but not being able to prove) that people were voting multiple times in the semi-finals. Since it was the final Burger Brackets, we wanted to ensure that this vote was not able to be gamed, and unfortunately our only option was to set it up so it’d be one vote per IP. We apologize for the inconvenience to you and your officemates.

So cute, great accent and even better burgers!

both restaurants are solid. very solid. the vote shows that if nothing else. nate and victor should be proud of themselves for attaining such passionate supporters. it’s kind of a hoot to read. i’m voting eatbar. it’s a great burger.

Posted by: old school arlington, Apr 03, 2009 10:25:16 AM

surely you make enough working downtown to have a home computer...

besides, maybe your office blocked it when they found out what you were doing on company time...

or are you just mad because you could only vote twice?

Posted by: surely you, Apr 03, 2009 10:21:38 AM

Someone has their sarcasm/reading comprehension meter switched off today.

Understandable, given that it is a Friday...

Posted by: elpedro, Apr 03, 2009 10:16:25 AM

I hope the editors of the magazine read this. I work in the office building across the street from BLT and eat lunch their 3 times a week. I eat with people from my office everytime I ago and we all love the burger. When I dound out about this competition on Wed. I emailed everyone in my office who I have gone to BLT with to vote for them if they did indeed think they do have a better burger than eat bar. When they all tried to vote, it said they had already voted, THIS IS NOT TRUE. I spoke to our tech guy and he said the voting is setup for only 1 vote for 1 IP address. What happens when more than 1 person from an office wants to vote for BLT or EatBar? THEY CANNOT. This voting process is completly FLAWED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

outback sucks and so does new zealand lamb

Posted by: crocdundee, Apr 03, 2009 09:14:46 AM

Is the last poster SERIOUSLY comparing Outback to BLT Steak???!! That’s the funniest thing I’ve read here! I think that Eatbar and BLT fans can join together here and say you have no place on this blog and have no idea what good dining is! Sorry ’Arlingtonbrat’ but it sounds like it’s your pocketbook that keeps you from BLT and Eatbar more than anything else.

Posted by: What?, Apr 03, 2009 09:07:15 AM

Everybodyshutup:
Thank you for perfectly proving my point. You think there is a difference between BLT and Outback just because of the price tag. For starters, BLT doesn’t a single starter that holds a candle to the Aussie-Tizers, all of which are big enough to share. The Kookaburra Wings are to die for. The New Zealand Rack of lamb is a piece of meat to which, quite honestly, BLT can’t hold a candle. Top it all off with the Lobster & Mushroom Add On Mate and you have yourself a meal that puts BLT Steak to shame at a fraction of the cost. Needless to say, a person like yourself that lacks a discerning palate has no right entering the Outback doors, let alone enjoying the Chocolate Thunder From Down under.

If you still feel a sense of superiority with regard to your "sense of flavor," find somebody with a sense of humor and have them explain that what I’ve written, much like yourself, is a joke.

Posted by: ArlingtonBrat, Apr 03, 2009 09:00:22 AM

I have to agree with "feetbar" - if BLT had all the restaurants in this area that BLT does, BLT would have seriously won this no question. The fact that it was so tight makes it pretty obvious that actual diners are voting. Eatbar’s true colors are coming out at the end of the competition. Glad we can all see the truth. BLT holds it’s own.

Posted by: Burger patriot, Apr 03, 2009 08:50:51 AM

Thank you arlington brat for proving my point. You people can’t tell the difference between outback and BLT Steak and its ok because you obviously have no understanding of flavor or quality and probably shouldn’t be dining at either eatbar or BLT

Posted by: everybodyshutup, Apr 03, 2009 08:42:27 AM

Folks - we only have a few hours left in the competition. Please keep conversation and comments civil or I’ll have to close them down.

Posted by: Catherine (washingtonian.com), Apr 03, 2009 07:52:16 AM

If I were running either one of these restaurants I would remove my burger from consideration. You people are embarrassing yourselves.

PS Eatbar rules, BLT is just an overpriced version of Outback

Posted by: ArlingtonBrat, Apr 03, 2009 07:38:52 AM

Eatbar has the PR machine, you arlington brats who ddon’t believe it should get a grip, if BLT had 5 restaurants in the area they would’nt have just kept it close they would have won hands down,

I miss whitey’s.

Posted by: feetbar, Apr 03, 2009 07:31:04 AM

When eatbar throws mud its normal, when blt does it its ugly? Your a biased loser like the rest of us, and just because you’ve removed youreslf from the blog doesn’t mean you didn’t add to the "venom". BLT is one of the best resatuarants in the city this magazine even believes it, so eatbar enjoy your victory, burgers are just burgers.

Posted by: Burguysucks, Apr 03, 2009 07:27:43 AM

Uh oh....looks like the butter burger is winning!!! What will BLT do now? I’m just waiting for bikini pictures of the chef’s wife to appear on this discussion. It seems like they can’t rely on the merits of the burger alone.

Posted by: ButterBurger, Apr 03, 2009 07:27:33 AM

I was at BLT yesterday and had a kobe burger, on warm brioche with shredded slow-cooked bacon, a fried egg, bernaise sauce and truffle herb fries. Truly amazing.

Its only fitting that the man who came up with that should have a hot wife

Posted by: BLTBurgerfan, Apr 03, 2009 07:15:13 AM

I meant there

Posted by: PRMachine, Apr 03, 2009 07:09:28 AM

Well that nationwide PR machine must be sputtering, Eatbar should win, the company has 5 stores in this area, do you really think people from BLTs in other parts of the country care about a DC burger contest? Please, the fact that BLT is even in this is a testament to the people that dine their.

I heard BLT will open a BLT Burger spot soon and then we’ll see whats what.

Posted by: PRMachine, Apr 03, 2009 07:08:24 AM

Burguy poster...defensive much? Have you no life? To blame staff for comments is quite in poor taste and "PR machines" as you say, don’t really waste their time here. This is for FUN!!You’ve added to the mudslinging as much as anyone. Talk about poor form. It’s about the burgers people!!! Both are obviously good or they wouldn’t be here!!! Kudos to both competitors for keeping this race so close.

Posted by: I mean really now..., Apr 03, 2009 05:50:01 AM

Has anyone had BLTs Kobe beef burger? Talk about something sinful.

Posted by: burgerlover, Apr 03, 2009 05:42:18 AM

BLT’s burgers are by far better and more superior in taste and quality. And Burguy, you really must have no life to be monitoring the blogs like this.

Posted by: Jack, Apr 03, 2009 05:17:16 AM

Shame about the mudslinging. Not cool.

Eatbar makes a great burger. Props.

Posted by: Maggie, Apr 03, 2009 12:11:44 AM

Here’s to eatbar. Patron saint of burgery goodness!

Posted by: Bob, Apr 02, 2009 11:08:13 PM

Butter burgers at eatbar are awesome! Beautiful craft! Taste the love...

Posted by: Luv a burger, Apr 02, 2009 11:02:30 PM

Truly amazing that the editors at Washingtonian haven’t 86’d this bizarrely juvenile thread in its asinine entirety. Incredible really. This magazine, along with far too many posters here – should be ashamed. Anonymity is no excuse for abject stupidity.

Posted by: Seriously?, Apr 02, 2009 10:18:12 PM

whoa. not so fast. not in any way accurate.
first, i’m not a pr guy and i don’t/haven’t ever worked for the company. just a friend of the restaurant and found the mud slinging (on both sides) in poor taste (we are all able to count...it’s reaaaally lopsided kids).

as to nate finding the mudslinging funny, i have a feeling he would. he’s a good guy and a great cook. he has also never asked me to write a thing about him.

on the point the two of them are friends, i dunno. maybe they are. i have know nate a long time in passing and as a guest, but would never have considered him a dear friend. i just like his food. as to victor, never met the guy. i do like his food in general from what i’ve tasted, but nate’s burger is, in my opinion, better having had both. it’s my opinion. not changing despite the oooooh-so-scary rants.

regarding the staff (c’mon. it’s obvious.) making comments on here, i’d just have to say that one of the first pillars in any restaurants reputation is how their staff handles themselves when not at work. this counts. sure, they’re just blowing off steam, but it’s...not flattering if you’d prefer i rephrase it. i won’t be retracting the point though.

finally, i prefer the pubby atmosphere. there are a lot of people at BLT there to, "see and be seen." i hate that. eatbar’s much more relaxed. again an opinion. again, not being retracted despite the venom.

i think i’ve unearthed BLT’s entire national PR machine on this one kids. too easy. i’m done now.

Posted by: burguy, Apr 02, 2009 10:02:40 PM

I just love an eatbar burger. They’re juicy and wonderful and tasty and sinful goodness on bread. I think I’m getting a bit flustered. It’s that good.

Posted by: Jim S, Apr 02, 2009 09:32:23 PM

oooh run from the scary BLT politicos! What the hell are you talking about?

dear Chef nate stalker,

Poor form? What comment board are you reading? I agree there have been some ridiculous postings lest we forget the "BLT is poop" comment. So please when your done canonizing Chef Nate please remember the only thing blatant here is your moronic eloquence about an online burger vote.

And if you think that Chef Victor and his wife had anything to do with those comments you are disturbed, I have known them for years so has Nate, just ask Nate and he can tell you without hesitation that they would never do or say or have anyone do or say that type of crap. If you know him so well why dont you just ask. They’re friends and have been for years and would probably find this funny.

Again, isn’t this about the BURGER? Your gigantic ode to Chef Nate directly contradicts all the points you try to make. Who would know that much about Nate actually besides (a) his PR person...(b)his staff...or (c) his wife! Shocker. Good for Chef Albisu that he has a hot wife, I’m sure that has nothing to do with "currying" favors with his staff. Check your spelling next time. And please, if you know anything, you would know that real PR people don’t waste their time on fun blogs like this. Nice that you can be such a wet rag for everyone. That said, my vote is for BLT, hands down. Best burger in this city. And I hope they open a BLT burger here soon because the one in NY rocks.

Posted by: Are-you-for-real-Burguy?, Apr 02, 2009 08:27:59 PM

i’ve known nate at eatbar for a while, so i’m a little biased here as i’ve seen how passionate he is about his food. meat is an obsession for him and the burger isn’t an exception. he dry ages his local beef, grinds it daily (sometimes multiple times), whips it with butter, adds hard herbs, sears it in cast iron and puts it out on brioche. it’s unbelievable. some folks have a touch and he’s one of them. he loves beef and, in gratitude, beef makes an impressive performance on your tastebuds when he’s around.

i’ve also had BLT’s burger. it’s good when they’ve got it together. they use good meat and quality bread. there’s skill employed in making the sandwich and hats off to the chef on those occassions that it makes it to your table cooked properly and hot (4 visits, twice spot on, twice not-so-much).

as to the blatant pandering to the BLT chef from his staff in the comments section of this blog, i have to say, "poor form." speaking from the perspective of one having maintained a long career in restaurants, it’s neither appropriate or acceptable in such an incestuous industry (as hospitality tends to be) to throw mud at one another. seriously, your PR person should have warned you about such improprieties and cautioned against them. were there something factual, fine. point that out. and for the record, i’m very happy the chef has a hot wife and may that curry him favor with his staff. great. i’m a little disturbed they keep bringing it up, but hey, if it’s cool with him, who am i to judge?

eatbar should win this one on merits of quality, consistency and flavor. as a previous poster said, and many of my contemporaries agree, it’s about the politicos in BLT and i, for one, am unimpressed with that. i judge on food and nate is the better chef specifically and overall in my opinion.

Posted by: burguy, Apr 02, 2009 07:24:59 PM

I would agree with the post below mine. I’m confused as to why these two restaurants are even being compared considering that the BLT burger is clearly in it’s own league.

Posted by: Foodie Princess, Apr 02, 2009 06:49:49 PM

I’ve never had eatbar burgers but if they are anything like the rest of the restaurants in that company I would have to believe they are woefully average. BLT is exceptional, its a different level of dining. BLT shouldn’t even be competing with eatbar, it beneath them. The best restaurant, best dish, best chef in that whole company cannot compare with BLT Steak and all that comes with experience of eating there.

and the burger is perfect.

Posted by: leteatbarwin, Apr 02, 2009 05:59:46 PM

Having tasted both, I can honestly say that the thing the BLT crowd likes the most is the snob appeal of it. The only thing that could make it better for the DC politicos is a $25 price tag. The butter thing is being overplayed by people who have never tried it.

Posted by: burgerguy, Apr 02, 2009 02:29:28 PM

The burgers are the bomb! And yes, the chef’s wife is sooo hot and can actually cook too! The Chef is super hot as well!

Posted by: Madison, Apr 02, 2009 02:15:12 PM

OMG - The BLT burger is the best, and all of you know it. Everything comes out at the right temperature, EVERY TIME! You want burger perfection, BLT BLT! HAMBURGER MINE! Thank you Chef Albisu!

Posted by: ArtChiles aka BurglerKing, Apr 02, 2009 01:09:29 PM

BLT’s burgers are by far way better than eatbar! what kind of special receipe does eatbar have by putting butter all over their meat?? yeah, i forgot that took skill. sorry anonymous, the chef’s wife at BLT is pretty hot, but i don’t think she’ll be leaving a top chef like that any time soon.

Posted by: bigfoot, Apr 02, 2009 01:04:25 PM

I’m sure the chef’s wife is impressed by the group of overweight work ID wearing losers that come to stare at her while they stuff their faces with a cheeseburger.

Posted by: wife, Apr 02, 2009 12:53:27 PM

Hot chef’s wife at BLT > Hot waitresses at EatBar. True story.

Posted by: :007:, Apr 02, 2009 12:45:05 PM

Cmon people. BLT burgers are SOOO much better than the mush at Eatbar. And is it wrong for me to say that Chef Albisu’s wife is really hot as well? I mean, I’m not voting based on that, but it doesn’t hurt now does it? I know I’m going to get caught staring the next time I’m there, and she’s there, but maybe she’ll leave him for me.

Posted by: Anonymous, Apr 02, 2009 12:27:16 PM

I live right around the block from EatBar, but I’m shocked that Ray’s HellBurger didn’t make the list. Far superior to EatBar. Although maybe I should be happy that a crowd of people won’t come to Ray’s...

Posted by: NewsCat, Apr 02, 2009 11:45:23 AM

I, for one, use the attractiveness of the chef’s wife as a key factor when rating my hamburger. If I find out the busboy’s mom is hot, that’s pretty much the clincher.

Posted by: hotwife, Apr 02, 2009 11:41:52 AM

You know what? I hope the nose in the air burger snobs in DC never come over the bridge to enjoy the Eatbar burger. They don’t deserve it. They can spend $6 more while rubbing elbows with the people driving this country into the ground. I will stick with the down to earth neighborhood Eatbar and listen to conversation that DOES NOT make me want to shoot myself.

Posted by: truthhurts, Apr 02, 2009 11:37:30 AM

The idea of eating an entire "butter" burger at Eatbar makes me vomit. The first bite is great, but how you feel after that thing is awful. BLT’s burger is delicious, and doesn’t leave you running to the bathroom.

I’ve eaten at both places and BLT’s burgers are by farrrrrr the BEST! To those who are not familiar with the DC culinary scene, Chef Victor Albisu is one to follow, he is absolutely AMAZING!

Posted by: Hida, Apr 02, 2009 02:22:07 AM

The two compeating chefs worked together I think.

Posted by: Moo, Apr 01, 2009 01:08:11 PM

You guys are nuts. I’m not telling you how (or if) I voted, but as Paul said, "Let’s keep the kids out of this." I, personally, am probably one of the only people on here who’ve tried both and, frankly, I’m of the mind that most DC residents haven’t crossed the river in some time, let alone gone to EatBar. Both places have their unique charms, though different scenes altogether. Let’s keep it objectionable, shall we? And while we’re at it, try to the mudslinging at a minimum. We’ve had to put up with this for the last two years...this is supposed to be fun, not divisive. Oh...wait...this is DC. Sorry. I forgot.

Posted by: Yeesh!, Apr 01, 2009 10:57:35 AM

You all in DC are nuts... as for me I wuld not spend 10 or 16 or 8 $$ on a burger.. I prefer the good ole BK Whopper...! and a Jr. is only $1.00 where I live..

Posted by: Crystal, Apr 01, 2009 10:09:58 AM

I agree Chef Albisu’s wife is super hot, and his burgers are almost as good as mine! That alone makes this no contest!

Posted by: Burgermaniac, Apr 01, 2009 10:08:37 AM

Lovelovelove Eatbar, but their burger really isn’t very good. I won’t order it again. And I really don’t feel comfortable with BLT winning a burger contest. But then again, I never voted.

Posted by: kate, Apr 01, 2009 09:15:33 AM

If you don’t know who the chef at BLT Steak is you must not be into the DC dining scene. Chef Victor Albisu is only one of DC’s finest talents. But this about the burgers and to me its a toss up.

Posted by: DCDiner, Mar 31, 2009 06:35:32 PM

Ch-eat Bar = Mediocre burgers. BLT = Supreme rulers of this competition.

Posted by: Serious about burgers, Mar 31, 2009 03:39:59 PM

Haven’t had BLT burger but I have had Eatbar’s and it is outstanding.

Why all of anger folks? Can’t we just get along?

Posted by: hmm... burgers... yum, Mar 31, 2009 03:33:06 PM

Amen.

Posted by: duh, Mar 31, 2009 03:00:25 PM

Everyone, please grow up. This is not about who’s PR people are posting comments, which burger is "poop", how many people know the chef at their favorite contending venue, or who has a hot wife. Now we’re talking about chef’s wives? Seriously, get over everything and just cast a vote, please.

Posted by: J. Stevenson, Mar 31, 2009 02:37:36 PM

Their burger is awesome and the Chef’s wife is super hot.

Posted by: BLTRules, Mar 31, 2009 01:15:24 PM

Plenty of people who dine in this city know who the chef of the restaurants they frequent are, Victor happen to be one of the very best around. BTW if it was BLTs PR person don’t you think they would have mentioned Laurent Tourondel, this is dumb and so am I for joing this "poop"fest

Posted by: Salty, Mar 31, 2009 12:23:23 PM

BLT is poop? who wrote that? did Eatbar mass email kindergartens? Poop is what will happen almost immediately after you eat the over buttered, truffly burgers at eatbar.

Please leave the kids out of this

Posted by: Paul, Mar 31, 2009 12:13:30 PM

What is wrong with people, Eatbar burgers are gimmick butter burgers, BLT burgers are the best, simple, flavorful an all around classic. Oh and by the way, try the Kobe Burger at lunch its amazing.

Posted by: Gaston, Mar 31, 2009 12:09:03 PM

I’m sorry, but this sounds like BLT’s PR person or someone in that restaurant bombing the boards. Who else knows who Chef Albisu is? It’s always been about Laurent Tourendel.

BLT DOES have a great burger, but these comments are like a soggy bun on my burger bracket madness.

Posted by: Burger Lover, Mar 31, 2009 11:58:37 AM

How could you have missed The Black Squirrel in AdMo? Their burgers are awesome. That’s a big omission!

eatbar is a joke. I just had their $10 burger (no sides at all). They have better burgers at rubyfuckingtuesdays. If you think eatbar is the best than you obviously have damaged taste buds.

Okay I see some glaring ommisions like:

The Burger Joint (in Bethesda)
Z burger
Palena

try these places before you say BLT- which I thought was mediocre at best.

Be careful BLT. On Thursday night - overnight - Eat Bar will put their vote push on and it will be difficult to catch them on Friday morning. The push will come between midnight and 6AM Friday morning. Be warned. Watch for the voting irregularities, editors.

Ray’s Hellburger should have won...these brackets are just a reflection of other restaurants e-mail distribution lists/ballot stuffing. Sucks!

Eat BarF!
BLT is my favorite ya’ll

Posted by: Britney Spears, Mar 30, 2009 11:11:22 AM

Eatbar burgers are buttery, leaky, greasy, nasty little meatballs. Yuck!
BLT’s burger is a modern classic. I just had BLT’s lunchtime Kobe burger and it was amazing. Oh and by the way BLT has the best fries in town too!

Posted by: Lucas, Mar 30, 2009 10:32:50 AM

BLT burgers are fabulous in taste and quality. Chef Albisu’s special touch to these burgers make them really hard to beat. Fabulous fries as well!

Posted by: bestburgerman, Mar 30, 2009 09:46:52 AM

this is suppose to be about taste!!!! BLT has got it hands down on quality and preparation. Solid product.

Posted by: getreal, Mar 29, 2009 09:30:53 PM

BLT burgers are the best, hands down, no questions. I have had both in competition here - and BLT wins. And Hell’s burgers...just not what they should be - sorry!!

ch-eat bar.

These brackets are honestly a joke. Both finalists have fine burgers but neither compare to the burgers at the restaurants the food editors thought would be sure things.

Posted by: Unapologetic foodie, Mar 28, 2009 04:29:24 PM

I have had both eatbar and hell burger’s many times and i can say. there is no competition, it’s all hell burger, all the time.

Loki, Hellburger is just... Ground beef. Then you can hemorrhage cash on toppings. Nothing special there. Eatbar definitely puts some thought and care into their burger. There’s a reason they made it to the final, buddy.

I’ve had Hellburger, and it was good, but there really is something unique and, at the risk of sounding like a fruitcake, magical about the burgers at EatBar.

Don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it!

Posted by: elpedro, Mar 27, 2009 02:13:09 PM

HellBurger destroys these places. You people don’t know real burgers. I’ve been all over the world and have never had a Hellburger equal.

Sigh

Was Ollie’s Trolley a consideration? Wonderful burgers...

Posted by: Annie, Mar 27, 2009 12:41:03 PM

Butter burgers are clearly better burgers! My cardiologist may get annoyed with me for indulging in them, but chef nathan anda’s burger at eatbar is without rival the best in town. It’s great to see both he and eatbar get the recognition they are due in this contest. Go eatbar!
