My husband and I had the MOST AMAZING truffled macaroni and cheese at Bistro D’OC http://www.bistrodoc.com/ this fall. It was a special, so we keep checking in from time to time in hopes that they’ll make it again.

The prime Dry-aged Ribeye @ bourbon Steak is without peer in the district, all other steaks/steakhouses should run and hide!

All are good, but the best dishes this year happen on Fridays at Vidalia when Chef Cooper rolls out his Pig and Pinot. Come on now this is the best kept secret in DC.

Hog jowl with peanut sauce on a crepe. Please its pig heaven.

BBQ Pork at the Blue Duck Tavern. 3 parts of the oinker: jowls, trotters and terrine. Some may say gross, I say freakin’ delicious!!

My favorite dish in DC is Brasserie Beck’s Beef Carbonnade (and a close second place to the lamb tenderloins at Marcel’s). I basically love all things Wiedmaier...

The braised short ribs at West End Bistro. In truth, everything brought to the table that night was amazing...especially the basil ice cream!

Burger at Bourbon Steakhouse!!!!

In the DC area, I would single out a dish from Et Voila! -- stuffed Guinea hen leg with pistachios, dried apricot served with gnocchi, mushrooms and red cabbage...delicious and comforting.

The Smoky Petal at Present is up there.

I had amazing dish at The Evening Star in Del Rey — it was their take on "mac n’ cheese" but it was actually spinach gnocci....so heavenly

Absolutely every dish at Eatonville! This is the best restaurant ever! It was so very yummy. I especially heart the sweet potatoe hash. Yummo!
