The Cupcake Cup: Sticky Fingers vs. Something Sweet

Help us vote for the best cupcake in Washington.

No contest in our last Cupcake Cup face off—Georgetown Cupcake won handily over Furin's. Maybe fodder for the new Georgetown Cupcake reality show? You can still vote in Bakeshop vs. Hello Cupcake until 2 PM tomorrow.

Click below for this afternoon's match up.

Sticky Fingers: This popular all-vegan bakery in DC's Columbia Heights also serves gluten-free cupcakes. There's a line of "cupcakes for adults" with flavors such as piña colada, fuzzy navel, black Russian, and more.

Something Sweet: Meghan Blair recently opened Something Sweet bakery in DC’s Cleveland Park. You can get the basic cupcakes every day—chocolate, vanilla and red velvet with cream cheese frosting—but on different days of the week the bakery serves up special flavors like maltball, Oreo, or coconut/almond.

This poll will stay open until Saturday at 2 PM.

*To help keep this contest fair, we've elected to use an IP address-based poll. This means that if you are voting from an office or network setting, not everybody will be able to vote. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we hope you'll encourage coworkers to vote from their home compute

All I can say is....YUM!

Sticky Fingers cupcakes have melt-in-your-mouth frosting and are great, but the best thing is that no animals were harmed in the making of any product they make. Unfortunately, chickens and cows suffer greatly whenever eggs and milk are used. Please watch videos (PETA, Mercy For Animals, and many other websites have them) about how these products are taken from abused, miserable animals. Then go enjoy Sticky Fingers’ wonderful cruelty-free foods with a clear conscience.

Sticky Fingers ROCKS. We love them & used their vegan cookies at our grand re-opening event in October when we moved from VA to Friendship Heights.
We support our fellow Green Business.

Something Sweet’s cupcakes are addictive; like a banned substance, but legal. Love them!

Good luck Something Sweet - My 4 year old son is one of your main cupcake supporters!! He loves them and often tells me that they taste so yummy and much better than mine! (I have to agree)

I didn’t know Sticky Fingers’ cupcakes are vegan. That makes them even more superior! Delicious and good for me too!
