Twenty of Washington’s best boutiques all in one place? Check. Ninety-percent savings on end-of-season favorites, with preview prices of upcoming seasons? Check. Cocktails, appetizers, silent auction, and raffle contests? Check, check, check, and check. Yup, we know where we’ll be March 16—the District Sample Sale.

This yearly shopping extravaganza features goods from area boutiques such as Urban Chic, Poppy and Stella, Ginger, Rue 14, Sassanova, Sherman Pickey, and Wink, all in one place and with prices low enough to induce a scuffle or two. Local favorites Sweetgreen, Neyla, and Georgetown cupcake have provided nibbles in years past. Those looking to showcase their own personal style should know that the event is definitely a place to see and be seen.
