There’s nothing we love more than when Washington earns some fashion cred, which is why we were incredibly excited to glimpse our hometown fashion hero Johanna Cox in the just-released promos for the upcoming CW Network fashion-reality show Stylista.
Johanna, who until recently penned the popular Washington style blog A Serious Job is No Excuse, and a bevy of fashionably clad contestants are competing for a chance to work at Elle magazine under scary-looking (and seriously high stiletto-wearing) fashion editor Anne Slowey. (Guess we finally know what Johanna’s been up to since her abrupt retirement from the blog world in February. . . .)
A release date for the show hasn’t been announced, but we’re putting our full support behind our local style setter, who’s been spotted around DC in some seriously cute Alexander Wang and a cropped platinum haircut. Watch this space . . . . More>> Shop Around Blog | Style | Find a Spa

Johanna deserves it. She is very talented and the only one who did not play dirty at all. Congratulations Johanna!

I just finished watching the final episode of Stylista. I have not missed one show, all because of one single reason, Johanna. From the very first episode, I thought that Johanna had an air about her that is poised, compassionate, naturally talented and professional. She has an innate sense of fashion and personal style, without having industry experience. I was rooting for her the entire season and couldn’t be happier that she won! Congratulations, to very well deserved winner and new Junior Editor for the amazing "Elle" magazine!
