The weekly Wednesday-night auction at Quinn’s Auction Galleries in Falls Church can be a terrific place to find furniture, decorative items, fine art, jewelry, and odd collectibles—from Avon figurines to plastic chickens. I picked up six ribbon-backed dining chairs from the 1940s for $60 and a large box of antique glass bottles for $10. You can browse the auction room online or take a preview stroll through the warehouse on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. A buyer’s premium of 15 percent is added to preview purchases; credit and debit cards and checks accepted.
