Luckily, downtown's One80 salon is offering up hair help, with a $25 private blow-out lesson ($40 if you book on the day of) and complementary Phyto conditioning treatments (free on the first Thursday of every month—there's no purchase necessary, just make an appointment).
Also on Thursday, local fashion charity Fashion Fights Poverty is launching their new fall look book featuring lots of cool, for-a-cause styles. Head to Tattoo starting at 6pm to get the first glimpse of their annual round-up of socially responsible fashion finds.
Thursday, September 4 through Sunday, September 7: U Street's hip Caramel boutique is expanding with a small selection of shoes by Jump, arriving this week. As a "welome, shoes!" bonus, take 15 percent off shoe purchases this weekend only.
Thursday, September 4 through Sunday, September 7: Treat is having a sale! Starting Friday, the Alexandria "sample sale" boutique's spring/summer merchandise will be discounted even more, with bargain priced racks of $10, $25, $50, $75 and $99 items. Can't wait 'til Friday? Get an early start – as well as the first glimpse of fall stock—by heading to cocktails in the store on Thursday night from 5-8pm.
Tuesday, September 9: Didja get your tickets yet? The District Sample Sale kicks off at 6:30pm (5:30pm for VIPs) and with stores like Urban Chic, Terra, Sugar and Wink signed up, you definitely don't want to miss it. We're calling first dibs on any Loeffler Randall!
