Where & When: Fashion Edition

Got some free time this week? Be sure to pencil in a few of these fun, fashiony events. There’s a little something for everybody, from makeup and knitting classes to sales galore.

Thursday, November 6: Take a stroll down Bethesda Row during its neighborhood trunk show and sale from 12 to 8. Save 25 to 75 percent all day at Urban Chic, Ginger, Tickled Pink, and Lucy. Rami Kashou of Project Runway will be at the Phillips Collection this evening for a happy hour and a discussion about fashion. There’ll be a cash bar, live music provided by Potomac Jazz Project, and lots of opportunities for mingling. $15; 5 PM.

Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8: Tim Quinn, a well-known celebrity makeup artist with Giorgio Armani, will be holding free group technique classes and personal makeup consultations by appointment only at the Chevy Chase Saks Fifth Avenue. Friday, November 7, through Sunday, November 9: Stop by the Washington Craft Show at the Washington Convention Center, which showcases the work of leading craft artists from across the country. This year’s theme, “Making It Personal: Enhance Your Singular Style,” will be the focus of talks and consultations with fashion professionals and interior designers. Saturday, November 8: Proper Topper in Georgetown is hosting a fun knitting workshop run by artisanal wool makers from Solitude Wool. Classes are $15 plus $35 for supplies. Reserve a spot in advance as space is limited. Call 202-333-6200 or visit propertopper.com.

Sunday, November 9: Join Urban Chic at the Pearl Spa, Maple Lawn in Fulton, Maryland for its midseason sample sale from 10 to 6. There will be discounts on Milly, Catherine Malandrino, Diane Von Furstenberg, and children’s clothing.

Sunday, November 9: Celebrate the one-year anniversary of Gossip on 23rd, the adorable Crystal City boutique, from noon to 5. Throughout the event, there will be discounts, giveaways, and prizes every hour. gossipon23rd.com.
