Post-Wedding Brunch Venue Ideas

A wedding planner’s favorite spots for a “bon voyage brunch.”

We’re really not trying to stress you out, but a wedding weekend doesn’t just consist of the actual ceremony and reception. There’s the rehearsal dinner to plan, as well as, in many cases, a going-away brunch the morning after the big event. It’s not always a must-do, but it’s a nice gesture to feed your out-of-town guests before they head home.

We asked wedding coordinator Vicky Choy of Event Accomplished in Arlington to share her three favorite spots for a post-wedding brunch.

Poste, Penn Quarter

“Adjacent to the Hotel Monaco, Poste has a private dining space, which would be great for a farewell brunch. The focus on seasonal and local products mean the brunch will be delicious."

Pinzimini, Arlington

“This restaurant is located inside the Westin Arlington Gateway hotel. It’s a great choice for those having a wedding in Arlington, especially those who have guests staying there. It’s very convenient, and the restaurant has a private room and a semiprivate space, which are often used together.”

Tabard Inn, Dupont Circle

“The Tabard Inn is a charming, historic hotel, located east of Dupont Circle. For a post-wedding brunch, you could rent one of the private dining rooms on the second floor for your guests. Their brunch is well known as one of the best.”
