New York couture designer Jane Wang brings her spring 2008 collection to Rizik’s (1100 Connecticut Ave., NW; 202-223-4050) Thursday through Saturday. Wang, known for her intricate beadwork, will be available to talk to customers on Friday from 11 AM to 2 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. Friday, February 29: Judd Waddell Trunk Show
Try on gowns from architecture-student-turned-fashion-star Judd Waddell’s newest collection and talk to the designer himself about custom alterations at Hitched (1523 Wisconsin Ave., NW; 202-333-6162). All dresses bought at the show, which goes through Saturday, will be discounted 10 percent. To make an appointment, call the salon or e-mail appointments@hitchedsalon.com. And bring your bridesmaids—Waddell is pretty cute.

Sunday, March 2: “The Wedding Parties” Registry Event
If your alarm failed to wake you last time (or the time before that), you get one more try: Crate & Barrel (five area locations) is hosting its last (for now) registry event. Walk, drive, or Metro to the nearest C&B to enjoy a continental breakfast while watching demos of registry-worthy appliances. Call the store to RSVP (preferred but not required). Free; 9 to 11 AM.

“Beyond the Invitation: Wedding Event Invites” Workshop
Get ideas for everything you have to mail besides wedding invitations—like save-the-dates and rehearsal-dinner invites—at this three-hour workshop at Georgetown’s Paper Source (3019 M St., NW; 202-298-5545).
