Washingtonian Daily Deals

The Washingtonian is shaking things up today: Instead of buying a voucher for a deal, you can give to a charity to enter a raffle for several deals. Prizes include $20 gift certificates to Ping Pong Dim Sum and a $50 certificate to Vapiano. What’s the Deal will match the funds for the charity that receives the most donations (the other organizations get to keep what they have received, of course). You can also bid on deals being auctioned off, such as tickets to Big Night DC’s New Year’s Eve party (a $240 value). The raffle will be drawn tomorrow, December 29, at 6 PM.

Groupon
$10 for $20 worth of treats from Chocolate.com
Chocolate.com is an online network of chocolate stores from nearly every major city in the United States and Canada. The selection—which features everything from chocolate cake to gluten-free truffles—could bring any chocolate enthusiast to his or her knees. Get $20 worth of confections for half off.

Up to 53 percent off detoxification services from Washington Bodyworks Wellness Center
Washington Bodyworks Wellness Centre in Georgetown specializes in purging toxins from the body through alternative therapies instead of drugs and medications. Choose from two offers: $35 for an infrared sauna treatment (a $75 value) or $55 for a colon hydrotherapy treatment (a $110 value). The former uses infrared light to heat your body as a sauna would, potentially burning as many as 600 calories; the latter uses sterilized temperature-regulated water to irrigate and cleanse the colon tract.

Additional Groupon deals:

$198 for a teeth-whitening package at Bethesda Center for Family and Cosmetic Dentistry (a $625 value).

LivingSocial
$12 for $25 worth of food and drink at Chix

Chix, just off DC’s U Street corridor, serves all-natural Peruvian rotisserie chicken using eco-friendly methods. The restaurant offers vegetarian options and a variety of sides, including basmati brown rice and organic black beans. Try some today for less than half price.

Half off food and drink at Elevation Burger

Elevation Burger in Arlington serves organic, free-range, grass-fed beef patties made from meat ground in-house and cooked to order using olive oil. Vegetarians can opt for the veggie burger, and carnivores can build their own Vertigo Burger, stacked with three to ten patties and their choice of add-ons. Pay $5 for $10 or $10 for $20 worth of fare.

Additional LivingSocial deals:

$70 for three hours of home or small-business organization from Solutions Consulting (a $270 value).

Tippr
$50 for $150 worth of detailing services from Exotic Auto Detail

Exotic Auto Detail in DC's Foggy Bottom offers a full range of detailing services and will even come to your home or business if that’s more convenient for you. Take 66 percent off some TLC for your car.

Plum District
$5 for $10 worth of food and drink Carmen’s Italian Ice & Cafe

Carmen’s Italian Ice & Cafe in Rockville serves dozens of flavors year-round, and the cafe also features a hot-chocolate bar, hot apple cider, espresso, and baked goods such as muffins and bagels. Pay $5 for $10 worth of cold or cozy items.

$50 for $100 worth of clothing for curvy women from La Grande Dame
La Grande Dame, based in California, features high-end clothing, lingerie, accessories, and more from hard-to-find designers for curvy and plus-size women. Spend $50 and shop for double the amount.

Certifikid
$110 for a series of mom-and-baby classes with Onesies DC (a $220 value)
Onesies DC (with classes across Washington) offers activities developed by local mother-and-baby programs. Moms sign up for six weeks of various classes (one per week), which include yoga, photography, sleep coaching, CPR instruction, and more. Buy this voucher for the winter session from January 12 through February 16.

TRAVEL DEALS

The offer includes gourmet breakfast in bed for two, a complimentary bottle of Champagne, priority seating for dinner at the Hideaway Restaurant, and room-delivered chocolate fondue accompanied by fruits and a pair of paintbrushes to rouse your creativity.
