If you missed the presale for tickets to Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne tour, they go on sale to the general public Monday, August 8 at 10 AM through Ticketmaster. Tickets are $59.50 to $250. They’ve also had to reshuffle tour dates, so note that the duo will takeover the Verizon Center on Thursday, November 3.

Folk singer-songwriter Alexi Murdoch comes to Sixth and I on Tuesday, October 18. His second album, Towards the Sun, features songs from the soundtrack of the 2009 indie film Away We Go. Tickets ($25) go on sale Friday at 10 AM through Ticketfly.

Folk-pop duo the Civil Wars takes the stage at Lincoln Theatre on Sunday, October 23. Guitarist John Paul White and vocalist Joy Williams’s album, Barton Hallow, was a hit on iTunes’s and Billboard’s charts. Milo Greene opens. Tickets ($32) go on sale Friday at 10 AM through Ticketfly.

If you’re looking for a night of instrumental music, check out Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9) when they come to the Fillmore on Thursday, October 27. The self-described “post-rock dance music” band has made appearances at big-name music festivals like Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and the Austin City Limits Festival. Tickets ($25) go on sale Friday at 10 AM through Live Nation.

The London duo Yuck has been getting some critical love. NPR Music’s Stephen Thompson said of their South by Southwest performance, “Yuck captures the frayed noise and hooky, guitar-driven melodies of ’90s rock, even though its members, at 20, are too young to have experienced it firsthand.” They’ll be at the Black Cat on October 12. Tickets ($15) just went on sale through Ticket Alternative.

Neon Indian
, a “chillwave” band from Denton, Texas, will be stopping by the Rock and Roll Hotel on September 16. The band earned the distinction of making both Pitchfork Media’s best new music and best album lists in 2009. Rolling Stone also dubbed them one of the hottest new bands of 2010. Tickets ($15) are available through Ticket Alternative.
