Win Tickets to see the Roots at Fillmore Silver Spring on New Year’s Eve

We have four tickets to give away for the December 31 show.

The age-old question “What are you doing New Year’s Eve?” may have been asked most memorably by Ella Fitzgerald (or Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt if you’re one of the 10 million people who watched their rendition on YouTube), but this year it’ll be answered with just two words: the Roots.

The multiple Grammy Award-winning hip-hop act and house band on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon are coming back to the Fillmore Silver Spring this year for a New Year’s Eve show, and we have four tickets to give away to one lucky winner. All you have to do to enter is e-mail the name of your favorite song to dance to on New Year’s Eve to events@washingtonian.com before December 17. We’ll announce that winner and a list of the most-recommended NYE tunes on the morning of December 18.

For more information about the concert, or to watch the band live in action on Earth Day, check out the Fillmore’s website.

This contest is now closed.
