Jason Garcia Ignacio and CityDance Ensemble take the stage at the National Theatre’s Helen Hayes Gallery. The modern-meets-Filipino-folk-ance troupe is performing “Mountain,” an environmentally conscious piece inspired by the 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines and a landfill in Metro Manila. For anyone who wants to break up a monotonous day at work, National Geographic Live! (1600 M St., NW; 202-857-7700) is having a noontime screening of Explorer Journal: Maneaters of Malawi and Out There: Crocodile Wild. The two 25-minute movies, part of the museum’s Tuesdays at Noon film series, follow the travels of reptile expert Brady Barr as he learns more about crocodiles. For more information, click here.

Watch some of the area’s youngest up-and-coming musical talents as the National Symphony Orchestra Youth Fellowship Program performs at the Kennedy Center. You’ll hear the twang of banjos, mandolins, and guitars when the Port Tobacco Pickers play at the Torpedo Factory from 7 to 9. The seven-piece band from Maryland has a repertoire that includes traditional bluegrass, Southern rock, and train songs. For more details, click here.

Artist Khánh Lê will present his newest collection of prints and drawings. It’s the first Washington exhibit for the Vietnamese-born artist, who explores the cultural patterns of both his homeland and the United States in his show “Born Too Late” at the DC Arts Center. Some of the eclectic prints are decorated with Swarovski crystals. 7 to 9.

Art Enables (411 New York Ave., NE; 202-554-9455), a studio and gallery for artists with developmental and mental disabilities, is celebrating its eighth birthday with raffles, exhibits, music, and a silent auction. DJ Uncle Eric will spin. Some of the items you can snag at the raffle include handmade coffee mugs, coaster sets, and birdhouses. The event starts at 5.
