Monday: Say Whiskey!
Founding Farmers’s second annual Whiskey Week kicks off today with a lesson on the essentials of the spirit by Copper Fox Distillery’s master distiller, Rick Wasmund. A whiskey-tasting dinner follows the presentation, with cocktails crafted by chief mixologist Jon Arroyo. For more information or to reserve a spot, call 202-822-8783.

Tuesday: Films Galore
Filmfest DC, Washington’s international film festival, runs through the week with multiple screenings everyday. Today’s films include Air Doll, the story of a blow-up doll that comes alive; The Biblio Conspiracy, which blends archival footage with fiction filmmaking to recreate the 1975 invasion of East Timor by Indonesia; and Louise-Michel, in which a group of deceived female factory workers seek revenge on the factory owner. Wednesday: Harajuku Gays
Bid the Cherry Blossoms a last farewell at Pink Sock, the gay dance party held every third Wednesday of the month at Columbia Height’s Wonderland Ballroom. Harajuku Cherry Blossoms is this month’s theme, and the DJ lineup includes DJ Rad, DJ Bradley Portnoy and a special appearance by Miss LesbAnnie. The party runs from 9 until close, and drink specials include a $5 beer-and-shot deal.

Thursday: Sarah Silverman
Raunchy comedian Sarah Silverman will sign copies of her book, The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee, at Borders at 18th and L streets, Northwest.
