Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Celebrate Christmas Eve Eve with a concert, tours, and the darker side of holiday humor

The first-ever Modern Times Christmas Show at the Rock and Roll Hotel features Margot MacDonald, who describes her style as that of a “classically trained musician hijacked by Led Zeppelin.” 8 PM. Tickets ($10) are available here or at the door.

Get an inside look at one of the area’s most beautiful buildings with a tour of Washington National Cathedral. Visitors will learn about the art and architecture while glimpsing behind-the-scenes corners and corridors. Starting at 10:30 AM; tickets are $10. Today is also the last day to hear J. Russell Sale’s gallery talk, “Reading the Christmas Story in Art,” which focuses on seasonal and religious themes in the National Gallery of Art’s permanent collection. 11 AM; free.

The Raspberry Brothers, a team of comics who mercilessly mock movies, are taking on Home Alone at the Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse. Go for a beer, Christmas cookies, and a good laugh. 7:30. Buy tickets ($12) here.
