Alison Sigethy draws inspiration from the natural world for her art, which consists of sculptures made from recycled glass, collages made from fiber, and more. Her multimedia exhibit, “Understory,” is on display at the Art League Gallery today through February 7. Free.

Hear some the area’s most promising young musicians during NSO Youth Orchestra Day at the Kennedy Center’s Concert Hall. They’ll perform alongside members of the National Symphony Orchestra. 6 PM; free.

The talk-variety-show hybrid podcast “You Me Them Everybody” is recording at the Looking Glass Lounge. The show features guests such as cartoonist Carolyn Belefski, stand-up comedian Jeff Maurer, musician Ian Walters ,and more. 8:30; no cover.
