Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Two new art shows and a dance party for a good cause

Two art exhibits are opening at Touchstone Gallery this month. “Surfaces” by Michele Cormier captures the transformation of urban landscapes, and “Inspiration” by Betsy Forster examines the natural world. The opening reception is from 6 to 8:30, and both shows run through March 27. No cover.

Hungry for Music, a local charity that raises money for music education, is hosting a Cajun dance party at the Torpedo Factory Art Center. Junkyard Saints and Squeeze Bayou are two of the area’s funky and energetic zydeco bands, plus there’ll be king cake and a cash bar. 8 PM; buy tickets ($15) at Hungry for Music’s site or $20 at the door.

Head upstairs at the Rock & Roll Hotel for the “Villains” dance party, held the first Friday of each month and featuring DJ Xiao Yang. 9:30 to 2:30; no cover.
