The Adams Morgan Pop-Up Shop features one-of-a-kind arts and crafts from local artists and vendors. Open through April 10, the store also includes live entertainment and other events as it helps DC celebrate cherry blossoms and the start of spring. It’s at 2421 18th Street, Northwest, and open Sunday through Thursday noon to 9, Friday through Saturday 11 to 10.
Evergreen blends the music of Israel and Ireland, with tinges of jazz and classical. The group is playing at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue at 8, and there are pre-concert drink specials at Fadó Irish Pub from 5 to 7. Tickets are free; reserve one at the venue’s Web site.
John “Plantwalker” Francis took a 17-year vow of silence and walked across America; his book about his undertaking is called The Ragged Edge of Silence: Finding Peace in a Noisy World.
