THEATER:
Irish arts organization Solas Nua’s latest production is Swampoodle by Tom Swift. The high-energy, standing-room-only show combines theater with other elements such as a high-wire act and roller derby. Catch the show at the Washington Coliseum (M St. and Delaware Ave., NE) through May 28. Buy tickets ($16) at Box Office Tickets.

Wednesday, May 25
MUSIC:
Music legend Paul Simon, who released his new album, So Beautiful or So What, earlier this year, is coming to DAR Constitution Hall. 8 PM; get tickets ($73.50 to $123.50) at Ticketmaster.

Thursday, May 26
FILM:
Every year, the AFI Silver Theatre hosts the 48 Hour Film Project, in which contestants are given a genre, a prop, a line of dialogue, and 48 hours to make a short film. Tonight, they’re screening the best films from this year’s contest at 7 and 9:30. Buy tickets ($11) at the AFI Silver’s Web site.
