Witness to History: Boston Marathon Bombing at the US Navy Memorial
Retired WUSA-TV anchor and reporter Frank Bond moderates a panel discussion on the Boston marathon bombings at the US Navy Memorial’s Burke Theatre. Look for first-hand commentary from Richard DesLauriers, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Boston office when the bombing occurred; Sergeant John MacLellan, a Watertown, Massachusetts police officer involved in the post-bombing suspect chase; and Carmen Ortiz, US Attorney for Massachusetts and lead prosecutor of the case against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. 7 to 8:30 PM; registration required.

Second Thursday Art Night at Alexandria’s Torpedo Factory
Among the things to look forward to at Torpedo Factory’s monthly art night: “Exquisite Corpse,” a surrealist group-drawing game once played by Salvador Dali and his contemporaries; live music; and an exhibition of the skeleton of Zark, a dog whose remains were unearthed beneath Royal Street in Alexandria. 6 to 9 PM.

Speak Easy at the Kennedy Center
Dancer and choreographer Robert J. Priore and his troop of dancers, vocalists, and musicians—plus a videographer—take to the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage for two performances of Speak Easy this weekend, on both Friday and Saturday. Priore uses dance to explore the ups and downs of love. 6 PM.

Do the Loop in Northwest DC
A free bus will loop between three museums and eight galleries in Northwest DC. Hop on every half hour at one of these three stops: the Katzen Arts Center, the Kreeger Museum, and Book Hill in Georgetown. First stop is at the Katzen at 11:30 AM. 11 AM to 4 PM.
