TALKS: Sure, a smile, laugh, or nervous movement can help you easily spot a whopper, but what about the more subtle lies? Professional interrogators Gregory Hartley and Maryann Karinch will teach you how they know when someone’s hiding something at the Spy Museum’s How to Spot a Liar discussion. You’ll also learn why people lie, and maybe learn how to more effectively tell one yourself—we all know honesty isn’t always the best policy. Tickets ($20) are available online. 6:30 PM.

TEXTILES: Bring your favorite textile and be prepared to sit and be spooked on it at The Host, a Korean monster movie playing at the Textile Museum’s PM @ the TM. Tickets ($15) include one drink. 6:30 PM.
