LivingSocial’s newish spot at 918 F Street is hosting a Tequila and Trivia night featuring expert mixologists and some of the toughest trivia around. Prove you can toss back a few without forgetting your state capitals, presidential minutia, and pop culture prowess. $5. 6 PM.

TRUCKS: Food trucks don’t often make it into Chinatown, but one of the best, Fojol Brothers, is teaming up with Chinatown Coffee Company and the Travel Channel to profile some of the nation’s tastiest eats on wheels. Enjoy $3 beers and specials on wine and absinthe as you chomp down a mystical meal from Merlindia. Who knows, maybe you’ll end up on TV. Free. 6:30 PM.

TALKS: Sure, a smile, laugh, or nervous movement can help you easily spot a whopper, but what about the more subtle lies? Professional interrogators Gregory Hartley and Maryann Karinch will teach you how they know when someone’s hiding something at the Spy Museum’s How to Spot a Liar discussion. You’ll also learn why people lie, and maybe learn how to more effectively tell one yourself—we all know honesty isn’t always the best policy. Tickets ($20) are available online. 6:30 PM.

TEXTILES: Bring your favorite textile and be prepared to sit and be spooked on it at The Host, a Korean monster movie playing at the Textile Museum’s PM @ the TM. Before the movie, get in the mood with the museum’s latest exhibition, “Dragons, Nagas, and Creatures of the Deep.” Grab a few steamed buns from People’s Bao and sit back as a toxic slime monster terrorizes Seoul. Tickets ($15) include one drink. 6:30 PM.
