Local coffee roaster Vigilante—poured at places like Dangerously Delicious Pies, Smith Commons, Granville Moore's, and Boccato in Arlington—unveils a pop-up in Dupont Circle today.
According to Vigilante’s website, the coffee company’s temporary shop features “a full espresso bar, single origin pour-overs, cold-brew iced coffee, and a quick cup option” inside Mr. Yogato at 1515 17th Street, Northwest. Per the District Bean website, pastries from Black Strap Baking Company will also be on offer.
The pop-up will operate from 7 to 10 AM on weekday mornings before Mr. Yogato opens for business. Vigilante isn't the first District coffee upstart to go the pop-up route. The Blind Dog Cafe, for instance, operates out of Ledroit Park bar Darnell’s, and has sold java at the Science Club space, as well. In fact, Black Strap operates out of the kitchen at Darnell's and is owned by Greer Gilchrist, sister to one of the Blind Dog owners.
Vigilante Coffee Co. 1515 17th St., NW; vigilante coffee.com. Open Monday through Friday from 7 to 10.
