Tom Sietsema got the jump on the big, big news that Taco Bamba owner—and former BLT Steak toque— Victor Albisu is moving into the PS 7’s space in Penn Quarter with a new concept called Del Campo. The restaurant, celebrating South America’s grilling traditions, opens in spring 2013. [WaPo]

Neil Patrick Harris had three DC dinners on Wednesday night, and documented his culinary journey on Twitter. [Washingtonian]

A rep for Ward 7 council member Yvette Alexander told DCist that Ray’s the Steaks at East River has closed and that talks are underway with a “well-known” restaurant to take over the space. [DCist]

The Prince of Petworth spied a sign in Friendship Heights indicating Texas Tex-Mex chain Mi Cocina is headed our way. [PoP]

The guys behind Sundevich and Seasonal Pantry opened their new Shaw bar, A&D, this week. [Washingtonian]

Eater DC reports that Capitol Hill restaurant magnate Xavier Cervera is considering selling his nine Capitol Hill spots. [Eater DC]

The Young & Hungry blog says Society Fair baker Jonathan Copeland will be the chef at the Ghibellina, the new 14th Street restaurant from the Acqua Al 2 duo. The two-story restaurant is part pizzeria, part white-tablecloth seafood-focused eatery—no word yet on the mystery toque upstairs. [Y&H]
