Danny Meyer Debuts a New Set of Snacks at Nats Park This Season (Pictures)

BLT dogs, hand pies, and veggie tacos will keep Washington waistlines expanding as fast as Meyer’s baseball-eats empire.

Blue Smoke tempts Nats fans with a new crispy fried chicken sandwich.

Baseball game-goers who are more in it for the food than the sport already have a lot to love at Nationals Park, what with the Shake Shack burgers and the ‘cue from Blue Smoke. And your inner fat kid has a lot more to love this season, with three of the Union Square Hospitality concepts debuting new dishes. El Verano Taquería, Box Frites, and Blue Smoke–casual spots that are part of New York restaurateur Danny Meyer’s empire–are all expanding their menus with ballpark-friendly treats. Highlights include a BLT Dog topped with crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomato; fried chicken sandwiches with buttermilk ranch sauce; and tacos stuffed with roasted mushrooms, zucchini, and poblano peppers or braised beef barbacoa. Check out our slideshow to find out what you should eat for dinner while the Nats are in town.
