Takorean, the food truck that brought the first wave of Korean tacos to DC’s streets, opens its third brick-and-mortar location on Monday. Similar to the Union Market branch, the vendor joins others in the Eat at National Place food hall at 13th and F Streets, Northwest; a stand-alone Navy Yard store launched last year.
The vegetarian and vegan-friendly menu will be the same as in other locations. Diners can opt for corn tortilla tacos, rice bowls, or others filled with a choice of Asian slaws (kimchi or napa-romaine). Fillings/toppings include the likes of bulgogi beef, ssam-style pork, or marinated tofu and seasonal veggies. Stop by on Monday or Tuesday during the grand opening for half-off your entire order.
Takorean, Eat at National Food Place. Entrances at 1331 Pennsylvania Ave., Northwest or 13th and F streets, Northwest. Open Monday through Friday, 11 to 8; currently closed on weekends.
