Sorry, Washingtonians, looks like the heat has finally taken a toll on a number of food trucks. You won't find Sweet Bites, DC Empanadas, TaKorean, Bratwurst King, Porc Mobile, El Floridano, or Cheesecake Truck on the streets today. Other dedicated vendors will be out and about, but only for a short time before the extreme heat sets in this afternoon. So get your food while you can then head back indoors.

Archives Metro (Seventh and Pennsylvania Ave., NW), where you'll find Marco Polo from Sâuçá.

Gallery Place/Chinatown (Seventh and G sts., NW), where you'll find DC Slices.

Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW), where you'll find Fry Captain, Pleasant Pops, Saucalito from Sâuçá, Sol Mexican Grill, Red Hook Lobster, Eat Stix, and Phonomenon. The Big Cheese is nearby at 20th and L streets, Northwest.

L'Enfant (Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW), where you'll find Pi Truck, Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 3's third stop), the Ficelle, and Benethiopia from Fojol Bros.

Metro Center (12th and G sts., NW), where you'll find Magellan from Sâuçá, Yellow Vendor, and Sabor'a Street.
