As the "Dome of Heat" continues to intrude on the city, the key to keeping cool is lots and lots of fluids. If you have to venture out today for lunch, the Sweet Bites truck has iced coffee, lemonade, and sweet tea on hand at L'Enfant. Fry Captain has lavender and strawberry shakes to beat the heat, and Dippin Dots is at Yards Park.

Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW), where you'll find , Benethiopia from Fojol Bros, Saucalito from Sâuçá, Basil Thyme, Yellow Vendor, CapMac (20th and L sts., NW), and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's first stop at 17th and L sts., NW, and third stop at 19th and L sts., NW).

Franklin Square (13th and K sts., NW),
where you'll find Magellan from Sâuçá and the Cheesecake Truck.

L'Enfant (Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW),
