It's a scorcher out there, but that's not keeping the food trucks from hitting the streets. Mention "heatwave" at the SweetFleet truck before 3:15 PM and you'll get $3 off a half-dozen cupcakes. And Curbside Cupcakes has two firsts today: Its Pinky 3 truck will be in Rockville offering a new menu item, "Curbside Cooldown" milkshakes.

Capitol South (around First and C sts., SW), where you'll find the Big Cheese.

Chinatown/Gallery Place (around Seventh St. and Massachusetts Ave., NW), where you'll find Red Hook Lobster, Eat Wonky, and Dippin Dots.

Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW),
where you'll find Pi Truck and Merlindia from Fojol Bros.

Franklin Park (13th and K sts., NW),
where you'll find El Floridano, Sabor'a Street, and PORC.

L'Enfant (Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW),
where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's third stop), Sol Mexican Grill, the Ficelle, Feelin Crabby, and Eat Stix.

Maryland, where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (5600 Fishers Ln., Rockville).

Metro Center (12th and G sts., NW), where you'll find CapMac, Sweet Bites, Yellow Vendor, and Benethiopia from Fojol Bros.

Navy Yard (around M St. and New Jersey Ave., SE), where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's first stop) and Halal Gyro Plus.

Northern Virginia,
where you'll find District Taco (Crystal City), Sweet Fleet (Crystal City, Virginia Square, and Ballston), Capital Empanadas (Courthouse), and Choupi Crepes and Doug the Food Dude (Rosslyn).

State Department (21st St. and Virginia Ave., NW), where you'll find DC Empanadas, the Cheesecake Truck, Basil Thyme, and Tasty Kabob.

Union Station (around First and G sts., NE), where you'll find Fry Captain and DC Slices.
