Truck Stops: Where to Find Lunch on Wheels

Every morning, we’ll let you know where the area’s food trucks are rolling.

The food trucks are all over Washington today, from Doug the Food Dude at Tysons Corner to the Big Cheese up in Tenleytown. Your best bet in finding a food truck may be in Farragut Square. Personally, we'd make the trip to Franklin Square for El Floridano's chilled cucumber-and-red-grape soup—sounds like the perfect way to fight off this humidity. Choices, choices.

Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW), where you'll find Fry Captain, Saucalito from Sâuçá, Pi Truck, DC Slices (20th and L sts., NW), Sidewalk Sweets (third stop), and Benethiopia from Fojol Bros.

Franklin Park (13th and K sts., NW),
where you'll find El Floridano, PORC, and Tasty Kabob.

Gallery Place/Chinatown, where you'll find Pleasant Pops (second stop) and Magellan from Sâuçá.

L'Enfant (around Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW), where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's third stop), The Ficelle, Feelin Crabby, Pleasant Pops (first stop), Carnivore BBQ, and Dippin Dots.

Metro Center (around 12th and G sts., NW), where you'll find Red Hook Lobster, Merlindia from Fojol Bros, and Halal Gyro Plus.

Navy Yard, where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's first stop) and Marco Polo from Sâuçá.

NoMa (First and N sts., SE), where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 3's third stop).

Northern Virginia, where you'll find Sinplicity (Rosslyn), Sweet Fleet (Crystal City, Virginia Square, Clarendon, Courthouse), Choupi Crepes (Rosslyn), and Doug the Food Dude (Tysons Corner).

State Department/West End area (around 20th St. and Virginia Ave., NW), where you'll find Eat Stix, Basil Thyme, and TaKorean. DC Slices is nearby at 20th and L streets, Northwest. Sidewalk Sweets is nearby (first stop at 23rd and E sts., NW; second stop at 21st and M sts.).

Tenleytown, where you'll find Big Cheese.

Union Station, where you'll find Pangea from Sâuçá, DC Empanadas, and Austin Grill Truck.

Van Ness, where you'll find Red Hook Lobster.
