Truck Stops: Where to Find Lunch on Wheels

Holy heat! Your best bet for cooling off is with the Dippin Dots truck at Yards Park. We're just looking forward to tomorrow when the temperature drops, at least by a few degrees. In the meantime, find a shady bench to eat your food-truck fare. Locations and a map after the jump.

Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW), where you'll find a Sâuçá truck, Benethiopia from Fojol Bros., and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's second stop at 17th and L sts., NW).

Franklin Park (13th and K sts., NW), where you'll find a Sâuçá truck and Tasty Kabob. Pedro and Vinny's is nearby at 15th and K streets, Northwest, Curbside Cupcakes is nearby at 15th and M streets, Northwest (Pinky 1's third stop).

Gallery Place/Chinatown (around Seventh and G sts., NW), where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's first stop) and DC Love Bites (fourth stop).

L'Enfant (around Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW), where you'll find Merlindia from Fojol Bros., PORC, Sweet Bites Truck (first stop), and DC Love Bites (first stop at the Promenade; second stop at Third and D sts., SW). DC Pie Truck is nearby at Patriots Plaza (Fourth and E sts., SW).

Metro Center (around 12th and G sts., NW), where you'll find Cap Mac, a Sâuçá truck, Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's second stop at 14th and G sts., NW), and Takorean (at Tenth and G sts., NW).

Northern Virginia, where you'll find BBQ Bandidos (Ballston on N. Stuart St.) Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's third stop at Pentagon City, fourth stop at Crystal City), District Taco (Rosslyn), Big Cheese Truck (Rosslyn), and Doug the Food Dude (Dulles Station Blvd. in front of Strayer building).

Red Hook Lobster truck is in Friendship Heights (Jenifer St. and Wisconsin Ave., NW) and Dupont Circle (on Connecticut Ave. on the south side).

Southwest Waterfront (Fourth St., SW), where you'll find DC Empanadas. The Ficelle is nearby at Navy Yard (First and M sts., SE).

State Department area (around 20th St. and Virginia Ave., NW), where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's first stop), Eat Stix, and Sabor'a Street.

Union Station, where you'll find a Sâuçá truck. DC Love Bites is nearby in NoMa (third stop).
