Truck Stops: Where to Find Lunch on Wheels

Happy Monday, readers! There are a couple food-truck parties going on today; look for clusters of vendors in Friendship Heights and Metro Center. Northern Virginia gets to see the debut of Sweet Fleet, a cupcake-and-cookie vendor. If anyone tries it, let us know how it all tastes. And don't forget: Tomorrow, Doug Povich, owner of the two Red Hook Lobster trucks, will be live chatting at 2 PM. Submit all your lobster questions here.

Chinatown, where you'll find a Red Hook Lobster Truck (Seventh and F sts., NW) and Pleasant Pops (Sixth St. and Massachusetts Ave., NW, at noon; Seventh and F sts., NW, at 1:15; Seventh and D sts., NW, at 2:30). Austin Grill Truck is nearby at M Street and New Jersey Avenue, Northwest.

Downtown DC/West End area, where you'll find a Sâuçá truck (24th and M sts., NW) and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's first stop at 20th and E sts., NW; second stop at the Watergate/Kennedy Center; third stop at 20th St. and Pennsylvania Ave., NW).

Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW), where you'll find Big Cheese Truck, a Sâuçá truck, and Sabor'a Street.

Franklin Park (13th and K sts., NW), where you'll find Benethiopia from Fojol Bros., one Red Hook Lobster Truck, and Takorean. Carnivore BBQ is nearby at McPherson Square (15th and I sts., NW), and Pedro and Vinny's is at 15th and K streets, Northwest.

Friendship Heights, where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's second stop; first stop at Tenleytown Metro; third stop at Van Ness Metro), DC Empanadas, DC Slices, and Eat Wonky.

L'Enfant (Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW), where you'll find Dippin' Dots, Yellow Vendor, Tasty Kabob (at L'Enfant Metro), and a Sâuçá truck.

Metro Center (around 11th and G sts., NW), where you'll find Merlindia from Fojol Bros., Pi Truck DC, Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's fourth stop at 12th St. and New York Ave., NW), and a Sâuçá truck.

Navy Yard (Fourth and M sts., SE), where you'll find DC Pie Truck.

Northern Virginia, where you'll find Doug the Food Dude (Rosslyn), BBQ Bandidos (Rosslyn), Sweet Fleet (Courthouse at 9:30; Clarendon at 11; Virginia Square at 12:30; Ballston at 2; and Rosslyn at 3:30), and Top Dog Truck (Westpark Center Drive, Tysons).
