Truck Stops: Where to Find Lunch on Wheels

Happy Monday morning, readers! Let's hope the thunderstorms hold off through the lunch hour. Get your fix today; it looks like rain for the rest of the week. Food trucks are all over the city this afternoon, and the greatest concentration is in downtown DC. Use our map and list of locations after the jump to plan out your afternoon. 

Capitol South (First St., SE, between C and D sts), where you'll find Sabor'a Street and Sidewalk Sweets (second stop). Cap Mac is nearby at Union Station.

Downtown DC, where you'll find Big Cheese Truck (17th and M sts., NW), Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's first stop at 17th and L sts., NW), DC Empanadas (20th and L sts., NW), Pi Truck DC (21st and M sts., NW), and one Red Hook Lobster truck (19th and L sts., NW).

Franklin Park (13th and K sts., NW), where you'll find Benethiopia from Fojol Bros., Takorean, and Sol Mexican Grill. A Red Hook Lobster truck is nearby at McPherson Square (15th and I sts., NW), and Pedro and Vinny's is at 15th and K streets, Northwest. A Sâuçá truck is at Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW).

L'Enfant (Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW), where you'll find Dippin' Dots and a Sâuçá truck.

Metro Center (around 12th and G sts., NW), where you'll find Merlindia from Fojol Bros., PORC, a Sâuçá truck, and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's third stop at 12th St. and New York Ave., NW; fourth stop at 13th and F sts., NW).

Navy Yard (M St. and New Jersey Ave., SE),
where you'll find Carnivore BBQ, DC Slices, and Sidewalk Sweets (first stop).

Northern Virginia, where you'll find Doug the Food Dude (Rosslyn at N. Lynn St.), BBQ Bandidos (Ballston on N. Stuart St. off the square), and BadaBing DC (Ballston).

West End, where you'll find a Sâuçá truck (24th and M sts., NW), Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's second stop at 24th and M sts., NW; third stop at 20th St. and Pennsylvania Ave., NW; fourth stop at 20th and E sts., NW), and DC Pie Truck (21st St. and Virginia Ave., NW).
