Truck Stops: Where to Find Lunch on Wheels

Morning, readers! Take advantage of these dry skies while you can—grab lunch from a food truck. The fleet is all over the city and in northern Virginia. Hot spots today include Metro Center and L'Enfant. Find out where all your favorite mobile vendors are after the jump.

Chinatown, where you'll find DC Empanadas. Sidewalk Sweets is nearby (third stop at Fifth and D sts., NW, fourth stop at First and E sts., NW).

Downtown DC, where you'll find Takorean (20th and L sts., NW), Cap Mac (L St., NW between 19th and 20th sts.), and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's second stop at 19th and L sts., NW).

Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW), where you'll find Benethiopia from Fojol Bros., Yellow Vendor, and a Sâuçá truck.

Foggy Bottom/GWU area, where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's third stop at 22nd and H sts., NW), Big Cheese Truck, DC Pie Truck (24th and M sts., NW), and Pleasant Pops (Foggy Bottom farmers market from 3 to 7).

Franklin Park (13th and K sts., NW), where you'll find Dippin' Dots and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's fourth stop). Pedro and Vinny's is nearby at 15th and K streets, Northwest.

L'Enfant (Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW), where you'll find Austin Grill Truck, Merlindia from Fojol Bros., PORC, one Red Hook Lobster Truck, and Sweet Bites Truck.

Metro Center, where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's third stop at 14th and G sts., NW, fourth stop at 13th and L sts., NW), DC Slices, El Floridano, and a Sâuçá truck. 

National Mall area, where you'll find Sidewalk Sweets (first stop at Smithsonian, second stop at Federal Triangle at 12th St. and Pennsylvania Ave., NW) and SweetFlow Mobile (200 Independence Ave., SW).

Northern Virginia, where you'll find District Taco (Rosslyn), Doug the Food Dude (Ballston on N. Stuart St.), Pleasant Pops (Crystal City from 11:45 to 1, Ballston from 1:30 to 2), Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's first stop in Crystal City, second stop in Pentagon City), and BBQ Bandidos (Rosslyn at 19th and Lynn sts.).

Union Station/NoMa, where you'll find a Sâuçá truck (Union Station) and a Red Hook Lobster Truck (1201 First St., NE).
